The characters are talking. The story is unfolding. But you can’t hear a word.
You try to guess, read lips, pick up clues—but you’re always a step behind.
Now imagine this is your everyday classroom.
This is the reality for many deaf students—not because they lack intelligence or drive, but because the system isn’t designed with them in mind. And when the system fails to include, it silently excludes.
That’s where RuralShores Skills Academy (RSA) steps in—not as a substitute, but as a bridge.
A bridge built with empathy, designed with insight, and driven by the belief that every learner deserves to understand, express, and succeed.
Since 2016, our partnership with Noida Deaf Society (NDS) has brought this vision to life through inclusive education and skills training.

𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋 𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐔𝐌 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐒
RSA adapts school textbooks to meet the needs of deaf learners—simplified, age-appropriate, and visually supported. We use:
• Visual storytelling
• Step-by-step examples
• Sign Language-integrated resources
• Interactive, activity-based methods
Our team works with deaf educators and students, learning sign language and co-creating meaningful, usable content.
For instance, in our Class 8 Math module—“Let’s Become a Baker for a Day”, students take on the role of bakers fulfilling orders. While preparing cakes, they apply concepts like measurement, weight, and unit conversion using real tools—making math practical and fun.

Inclusion doesn’t stop at school. RSA equips deaf youth for the world of work with hands-on vocational training that’s visual, engaging, and practical.
One such example is our Retail module—“Let’s Open a Mini Store.”
Students run a mock shop—managing inventory, handling customers, and creating bills using fake currency. They practice retail skills like product display, discount calculation, and customer service.
Our programs—whether in retail, IT, tailoring, or communication—build both technical and life skills, preparing learners for real-world success.

From Quiet Corners to Confident Careers
Many Noida Deaf Society graduates today are employed across retail, IT, and service sectors—and are inspiring others in their communities.
This is inclusion in action.
