Harshit Tyagi is a Trainer with RuralShores Academy in the Ghaziabad region, with over 3 years of experience in training women promoters for door-to-door brand promotion campaigns. He works closely with multiple brands to build skilled and confident field teams, while also focusing on empowering women with communication skills, self-belief, and sustainable income opportunities. For him, training is not just skill development – it is about transformation and independence.
Over the years, he has observed a consistent journey among field professionals who are new to the program. Most women come from underserved backgrounds with very limited exposure to brands, structured communication, or customer engagement. Naturally, their confidence levels are low, and they often feel unsure about representing a brand in front of customers. Many also lack a stable source of income, which adds to their hesitation in the beginning.
The transformation begins with structured, hands-on training. Through product knowledge sessions, live demonstrations, and real-time promoter–customer interaction practice, they slowly start understanding both the product and their role. This clarity becomes the foundation for confidence building. As they begin practicing in a guided environment, their communication improves, hesitation reduces, and they gradually become more comfortable engaging with customers in real field situations.
One experience that stands out is from an OFT conducted in 2023 in Meerut. A promoter named Pinki joined the training with no prior knowledge of the company or products. She was extremely nervous and unsure about her ability to perform in the field. She also had no stable income at that time, which added to her lack of confidence.
However, during the training, she slowly began to understand the product and the purpose of her role. With continuous guidance and practice, her confidence started building step by step. From being hesitant, she moved to actively engaging in customer interactions and improving her field performance. Within a year, her growth was remarkable – she progressed to the point where she began managing her own team, something she had never imagined at the start of her journey.
This journey reflects the real impact of the program. Field professionals don’t just gain job-related skills – they experience a shift in confidence, self-esteem, and financial independence. While regular income brings stability, the deeper change is in how they perceive their own potential.
The training approach plays a key role in this transformation. With a strong focus on product knowledge, live demonstrations, and practical customer interaction sessions, it ensures that field professionals become more confident, capable, and customer-focused – ready not just for fieldwork, but for long-term growth and independence.
