Week 1
“Ma’am, can someone sit with me? I’ve never used a computer before.”
Avoids eye contact.
Avoids presentations.
Avoids volunteering.
Prays the trainer doesn’t say:
“Who would like to go first?”
Looks everywhere except at the trainer.
Week 12
“I’ve finished the assignment.”
“I also helped two friends.”
Volunteers to present first.
Explains keyboard shortcuts to others.
Asks questions in class.
Corrects the trainer’s typo on the slide.
No smoke machines.
No magic wands.
No rabbits pulled from hats.
Just practice.
Projects.
Mock interviews.
Teamwork.
Feedback.
And many moments of someone saying:
“Go ahead. You can do this.”
One of our favourite transformations is watching:
❌ “What if I make a mistake?”
become
✅ “Mistakes are how we learn.”
❌ “I’m not ready for an interview.”
become
✅ “Can we do one more mock interview?”
And the best one of all:
❌ “I can’t do this.”

✅ “Let me try.”
Because confidence isn’t downloaded like an app.
It doesn’t come with a software update.
And unfortunately…
There’s still no Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V for courage. 😄
It’s built one class, one project, one presentation, and one small victory at a time.
So yes, RSA does have a magic trick.
